“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”

Our Purpose:
The most devastating event in a child’s life in a third world country is to lose the wage-earner parent – through death or disability. The event starts a spiral of poverty in the family which most people never come out of in their lifetime. Our mission is exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes to eradicate poverty in Pakistan. We support rural communities in promoting and protecting their health, education and economic wellbeing within the rural context. We make charitable distributions to organizations and individuals to achieve our objectives in accordance with laws.
Our projects in progress are:
- Help Orphan girls and boys: We help orphanages (yateem khanas) and foster homes so that they can provide shelter, food, and basic healthcare services to orphans and street children in a respectful, fair, and professional environment.
- Basic Computer Literacy Training Academy: Computer labs that teach basic skills needed for individuals to enter the job market. The skills include word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and Internet usage.
- Vocational Training Centers: Hands-on training for garment sewing and design in rural settings.
- Plant and Preserve Trees: Join in the fight against the climate change and help communities plant and preserve trees.
We work with the local government and communities to achieve synergistic results for the people. Please donate!
Our Designated District:
The Government of Pakistan has assigned Pak American Charities Ltd. (P.A.C.L.) the district of Mianwali, Punjab province, as the focus area for its charitable projects. Historically, it is one of the least developed regions in the province of Punjab. For our office, we have selected the western part of the district, located on the west bank of the river Indus and closer to Pak-Afghan border. PACL selected Kalabagh area not only because it is and has been an underserved and under-resourced community with extreme poverty and economic deprivation in the area, but also due to strong local community support that has been instrumental in getting our projects going. Another reason is the natural beauty of the area which attracts the educational experts and professors to visit the Academy and help our students.
What is “Extreme Poverty”?
Anyone in Pakistan earning under $4.20 per day is considered poor. According to the World Bank data published in 2025 (a quoted b Wikipedia), every individual in Pakistan who earns less $3 per day lives in extreme poverty. Our mission is to help eradicate poverty in the designated district and elsewhere. According to our assessment, the majority of individuals residing within the district are experiencing poverty or severe poverty. Education and job training are the keys to pull the people out of the cycle of poverty they are in.
Partnering with other Welfare Organizations
Our projects aim at personal growth of the youth and economic development in the designated area. Therefore, we are collaborating with other charitable organizations that have similar objectives. to eradicate poverty through education and job training. In this regard, we have partnered with the Society for Educational Welfare (“S.E.W”). It is a non-profit educational organization with its head office in Karachi. SEW runs over one hundred schools in poverty-stricken communities of Pakistan. The S.E.W and P.A.C.L. are jointly running an elementary school in Kalabagh.
Pak American Charities Ltd. is not affiliated with any political or religious organization.
